For the Africities Summit, TNGSolutions was tasked with creating a robust, multilingual, and highly scalable digital hub for the triennial Pan-African conference convened by UCLG-A. The primary goal was to mobilize attendance from African Ministers, Mayors, and global development leaders while serving as the central platform for all comprehensive event information and online registration. Key deliverables included a professional, responsive website with seamless online registration functionality and dynamic content updates for the vast, multi-segment agenda. Our successful deployment ensured clear distinction between the political and technical sessions, while fully supporting the large parallel Africities Exhibition.
Challenges
- Handling Scale and Complexity: Africities is the largest democratic gathering in Africa, often expecting over 5,000 participants. The website needed to be built on a robust architecture capable of handling high-volume traffic and thousands of simultaneous registrations without failure.
- Multilingual Content Management: As a Pan-African event, the site had to effectively manage and present all critical information (theme, program, logistics) in multiple official languages (e.g., English, French) to cater to the diverse participant base.
- Logistics Communication: The site was essential for communicating complex logistical details, including visa requirements, travel to the host city (often an intermediary city like Kisumu), accommodation, and information on the Exhibition space and B2B meetings.
