Project Overview
TNG Solutions developed the Emalangeni SMS Portal, a specialized platform enabling clients to send SMS communications efficiently to the municipality and other registered contacts. The primary goal was to create a robust, user-friendly system that facilitates both group and individual messaging, offering flexibility for clients to send messages immediately or schedule them for future delivery, thereby streamlining essential communication within the platform’s ecosystem.
Challenges
A key challenge was ensuring the platform’s reliability and scalability to handle potentially high volumes of SMS traffic, which is critical for municipal and group communication. We also focused on designing a highly intuitive user interface for SMS scheduling and group management, ensuring that clients could easily segment contacts and manage time-sensitive communications without technical difficulty. Integrating a reliable and secure SMS gateway capable of supporting both immediate and scheduled sending functionalities was a crucial technical hurdle.

The development resulted in a fully functional and secure Emalangeni SMS Portal that successfully meets the client’s communication needs. The platform features an easy-to-use interface for both immediate and scheduled sending to individuals or defined groups.
